The tour is organized for small groups of up to seven people, ensuring that each participant can fully immerse themselves in the region’s unique atmosphere. We begin our journey from any convenient location in Paris. You will be comfortably transported in a car or minibus, depending on the number of participants. Travel along the A4 highway will lead you on a thrilling adventure, and at the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel or temporary accommodation in Paris.
Stage 1: Épernay - The Home of Champagne
Our first stop is Épernay, the heart of the Champagne region, located just 160 kilometers from Paris. This town, surrounded by rolling green hills, is rightfully considered the birthplace of champagne. Here, underground, stretch kilometers of wine cellars where millions of bottles are stored, aging for many years before reaching the hands of connoisseurs. You will visit some of the most famous champagne houses, located on the famous Avenue de Champagne. Here, you can explore the cellars, see the entire champagne production process from start to finish, and even watch the bottling process. You’ll hear captivating stories about the traditions and methods of winemaking, and, of course, enjoy tastings of various types of champagne, each offering a unique flavor and the essence of this remarkable region.
Stage 2: Champagne Vineyards and Reims
Next, we will continue our journey towards Reims, one of the most historically significant cities in France, where the coronations of French kings took place. Along the way, you’ll be treated to views of the Champagne vineyards, which stretch for miles and appear in perfect harmony with the landscape. We will also visit the church where Dom Pérignon, one of the founders of champagne, is buried. Then, we’ll ascend a hill offering stunning panoramic views of the city and the surrounding slopes covered with golden vines, where the famous wine is grown.
Stage 3: Reims - The Capital of Champagne and Its Historic Heritage
In Reims, our journey continues with an exploration of the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage. A delicious lunch at a local restaurant will give you a taste of the region’s gastronomic delights, and a walking tour through the historic center of the city will transport you back in time.
